Aptly entitled Prints Charming, the exhibition will explore the versatility of the Liberty print and showcase a collection of new designs created exclusively for Liberty by British artists including Grayson Perry.
The fabrics, as well as products made from them (such as lampshades, notebooks, luggage tags and scarves), will all be available to buy while a series of one-off pieces have been commissioned for the exhibition itself; Meg Matthews has created a line of wallpaper featuring whimsical, micro-floral prints and interiors company Squint has created chairs, tables and mirrors wrapped up in Liberty print which will take pride of place in one of the store's windows.
"Artistic creativity, in its many forms, has always been central to everything Liberty stands for, so to have the results of this inspiring partnership sitting alongside the designs created by Liberty Design Studio and coloured in a palette inspired by the Liberty archive, is a fantastic representation of how we consistently reinforce our identity through both old and new ideas," says managing director of Liberty Art Fabrics, Kirstie Carey.
And the print-fun doesn't stop there: the store's famous Tudor exterior will itself become a canvas, with its Carnaby Street-facing wall swathed in the Betsy micro-floral print. The exhibition will take place on the fourth floor. Vogue.co.uk
From white feathers to black leather, Carmen Kass wears just about it all in “Like a Bird” from Numéro magazine’s latest issue. Although the closest Carmen gets to flight is through the use of a swing, she still maintains a delicate, bird-like grace in front of Dusan Relijn’s lens.
Erin Wasson burst onto the acting scene almost a year ago when she played Justin Timberlake's love interest in promotional Internet films for his William Rast label. When she looked into the camera and told Justin she loved him "as much as the day is long," it was clear she was going places. Apparently she's landed a role in Sofia Coppola's upcoming movie,Somewhere, about a hard-partying actor who lives in the Chateau Marmont. Erin plays "Party Girl No. 1." No. 1!
The big-shouldered thing is nothing new, but August's Dazed and Confused eschews the typical Balmain or Margiela route in favor of a tribute to '80s Dutch visionary Maria Blaisse. The artsy designer's surreal coats, bodysuits, and dresses that look like toys get a good boost on Hana Soukupova, who gives her best modeling pose in front of Jason Kibbler's lens.
The stunning actress Marion Cotillard can pretty much do anything—and look flawless while doing it. The Oscar-winning vamp and current face of Lady Dior, proves she's got modeling chops as well in the August issue of L'Officiel Paris. Shot by Andrea Spotorno, the spread finds Cotillard in various stages of dressing, undressing, and primping—making for an almost paparazzi-like voyeuristic glimpse at the life of a superstar. Donning a black D&G satin robe, a big-shouldered YSL jacquard suit with only a bra underneath, and a balloon-sleeved Dolce & Gabbana frock this French beauty manages to look sexy yet with the innocence of an ingénue.
“There will be a lot more shows than last year," according to The Calendar's Ruth Finley, which means Anna Wintour won't be pleased. Last season, Anna said that "a lot of people before were having shows that simply shouldn’t have been having them," adding: "It’s much better to see them in the showroom or more of a low-key presentation. It’s more realistic." It seems like a number of designers didn't heed her advice — Finley says that this upcoming season, "There are a lot of new people [showing] you have never heard of."
The outside of the store, which was designed by Roberto Baciocchi, evokes famous Parisian landmark the Mirabel Bridge and the store boasts an interior which combines Prada's rich history with its love for innovation.
Inisde, the chequered marble floors of of Prada's original store, in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Milan, are replicated, whilst in the upper floor of the two-floor 570 square metre boutique an inventive beige silk tent cloaks the fitting rooms.
The store will carry a selection of women's ready-to-wear, bags, accessories and footwear.
Miu Miu loses the frills for the new fall season, replacing celebrity faces with the virtually unknown Hannah Holman, Ilda Lundqvist and Mimmi Söderström. Change turns out to be good as Mert & Marcus’ unusually austere aesthetic showcases the new faces almost as well as the brand’s clothing.
It's probably silly to let one fabulous accessory raise so many questions but I'm rather curious. The Luxe St. Mark's Quilted Python Shoulder Bag from Marc Jacobs not only sports a lengthy name but a fantastic look for any season. Itstaupe python body marked by contrast studsresembling antique bronze hangs from a handle which mixes python with a resin chain-link strap for $2,220. Inside you'll find a satin lining and zipper pocket and the entire bag is closed with a zipper to keep all your necessities safely within. Practically square in shape this medium-sized handbag can handle your day-to-day happenings but still look streamlined enough for evening. (10" x 10 1/2" X 4")

Supermodels Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova and Claudia Schiffer invade the August issue of Vogue Korea with three covers and one dynamite editorial by John-Paul Pietrus. As much of a thrill it would be to see the three supers together, sadly there are no group shots present. Nevertheless, “Super Big 3″ still delivers some amazing images.Enjoy!
Barbie has scored a starring role in Vogue Italia's most iconic edition; the Black Issue, as the magazine styles the iconic doll in a collector's supplement. In July 2008, Franca Sozzani, editor-in-chief of VogueItalia, conceived the first Black Issue, starring models including Iman,Naomi Campbell, Liya Kebede, Sessilee Lopez and Jourdan Dunn - with the intention of sending a message to the fashion world about the importance of diversity in fashion.
"Barbie has been an icon for whole generations which is why I really wanted to give a strong sign in step with the times, and dedicate the anniversary issue to Black Barbie," Sozzani said.
